NEW ZEALAND

New Zealands Transport Agency (NZTA) require imported vehicles under 20 years old to have been manufactured to acceptable frontal impact and emission standards.  For vehicles from Japan this is verified by having 3 digit model codes on export documentation.

NZTA also require vehicles to be border checked for sturctual damage and repairs prior to being presented for entry certification in New Zealand. As an apporoved NZTA Border Inspection Organisation ATL will undertake this inspection in Japan for all vehicles being shipped to New Zealand.

From mid 2018 New Zealands Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) mandated that all used vehicles being imported from Japan must be processed through an approved biosecurity clearance system prior to arriving in New Zealand. ATL are an approved MPI provider throughout our facilities in Japan.
